A shocking incident has been reported from Kozhikode, where five highly venomous snakes were found inside a residential house, leaving the entire neighborhood in fear. The incident occurred in Mundakkutty, near Kuttiyadi, and has raised serious concerns about safety in the area.
According to reports, the snakes were identified as common krait, which is considered one of the most dangerous snakes in India due to its highly toxic venom. The discovery of multiple kraits inside a single house is extremely rare and alarming.
The first snake was reportedly found under a pillow in one of the rooms in the house of a local resident. The situation became even more frightening as the family revealed that two children, aged one and eight, regularly slept in the same room where the snake was discovered.
Soon after the initial discovery, the family found another snake in the bathroom and three more in different parts of the house. In total, five snakes were identified within the premises, causing panic among the six family members living there, including elderly residents.
Local residents quickly gathered around the house, and wildlife rescue teams were informed to safely remove the snakes. Authorities believe that the snakes may have entered the house in search of shelter or prey, possibly due to environmental factors such as nearby vegetation or changing weather conditions.
Experts have advised people in the area to remain cautious, especially at night, as common kraits are known to be more active after dark. Residents have also been urged to check their surroundings carefully, keep homes clean, and avoid leaving doors or windows open unnecessarily.
This incident has sparked concern among locals, with many demanding increased awareness and preventive measures to avoid such dangerous encounters in the future. Authorities are expected to conduct inspections in the area to ensure the safety of residents.
