Emirates has strengthened its commitment to Caribbean connectivity by launching an interline agreement with Bahamasair. This partnership will facilitate easier access to The Bahamas for travelers from Emirates’ extensive global network.
With this agreement, Emirates passengers arriving in Miami or Orlando can now enjoy smooth connections to Bahamasair flights to two popular Bahamian destinations: Nassau/Paradise Island and Freeport on Grand Bahama Island. This initiative allows for single-ticket travel, along with a consistent baggage policy for both airlines.
The partnership was formalized following a Memorandum of Understanding signed in June between Emirates and Bahamasair. Emirates operates daily services to Miami with its refurbished Boeing 777 aircraft across four seating classes, while it offers flights to Orlando five times a week on a three-class Boeing 777. From these Florida locations, travelers can easily switch to Bahamasair's Boeing 737 flights for direct access to the Caribbean.
Earlier this year, Emirates also entered an MoU with the Bahamas’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs to collaboratively promote tourism. This new agreement further solidifies Emirates’ goal to enhance travel between its global clientele and The Bahamas.
By linking Emirates’ vast international network with Bahamasair’s domestic operations, travelers are presented with a more convenient pathway to one of the Caribbean’s most sought-after destinations.
