The Emirates Environmental Group hosted its 29th Annual Corporate Gala Dinner in Dubai, recognising 52 organisations for their outstanding contributions to sustainability and environmental initiatives. The high-profile event brought together diplomats, corporate leaders, policymakers and environmental advocates, reaffirming the UAE’s commitment to sustainable development.
Held under the patronage of Sheikh Salim Bin Sultan Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, the gala highlighted the importance of resilience and responsible leadership amid ongoing regional uncertainties. Speakers emphasised that sustainability is a critical pillar for long-term stability, economic diversification and environmental protection in the region.
Keynote speaker Dr. Nawal Al Hosany underlined the UAE’s global leadership in climate action and clean energy initiatives. Meanwhile, EEG Chairperson Dr. Habiba Al Mar’ashi stressed that sustainability is now a strategic necessity, integrated into governance, economic planning and social responsibility.
In 2025, EEG made significant progress through nationwide programmes, engaging over 738,000 students and diverting more than 1.7 million kilograms of waste from landfills. The organisation also planted over 14,000 trees and mobilised thousands of volunteers for environmental campaigns. The event highlighted the growing role of both public and private sectors in driving measurable sustainability outcomes.
