As the year draws to a close, Dubai International Airport (DXB) is set for an extraordinary influx of travelers, with estimates suggesting more than 10 million passengers will pass through its gates between 27 November and 31 December 2025.
The travel surge commences with the long weekend of the UAE’s Eid Al Etihad, where daily passenger averages are expected to reach approximately 294,000, further escalating in December. The airport is slated for its busiest month to date, welcoming over 8.7 million passengers, with 20 December anticipated to be the peak day, welcoming around 303,000 travelers.
In the lead-up to Eid, outbound travelers are poised for quick trips, taking advantage of the holiday break. However, as December progresses, there is a shift, with inbound travel seeing a boost, spurred by Dubai's festive ambiance, shopping festivals, and seasonal activities.
Preparations are in full swing to accommodate the anticipated wave, focusing on seamless check-ins, effective security measures, and improved passenger services throughout the terminals. This initiative involves a collaborative effort amongst airlines, governing bodies, commercial partners, and airport staff, all dedicated to ensuring a minimal disruption experience for travelers.
For both leisure and business travelers alike, this year-end period promises an energetic and thoroughly organized airport atmosphere, underscoring Dubai's status as a global travel nexus.
