Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, along with Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has announced the launch of the Mohammed bin Rashid Government Scholarships.

This innovative scholarship program is designed to develop skilled government leaders in critical fields such as economics, technology, and policy-making.

Focus on Empowering Government Leaders

The initial participants consist of gifted Emiratis drawn from various government sectors, aimed at equipping them with higher education and practical capabilities tailored to the specific needs of the UAE government.

During the launch event, Sheikh Mohammed emphasized that true progress emerges from adaptable, continuously learning governments that can translate knowledge into tangible outcomes.

He reiterated that ongoing education is essential for advancement, where insights from academic institutions should yield significant benefits for society.

Advanced Academic Opportunities Available

The scholarships encompass specialized higher education courses in key disciplines, including:

  • Master’s in International Business and Policy

  • Master’s in Applied Artificial Intelligence

  • Master’s in Economics

  • Executive Diploma in Artificial Intelligence for Business from the University of Oxford

These programs are devised to instill profound expertise and help participants navigate global transformations and modern technological advancements.

Collaboration with Renowned Global Institutions

This initiative collaborates with distinguished institutions worldwide, such as:

  • Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence

  • New York University Abu Dhabi

  • Georgetown University

  • University of Oxford

Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, remarked that this program signifies a transformative shift in governmental employee training, moving away from general instruction to focused education that directly enhances governmental operations.
