Dubai Maritime City, an important initiative by DP World, has inaugurated its latest project, the Maritime Business Centre 2 (MBC-2), with an investment totaling AED 160 million.
The tower, completed in a swift 20 months, has already garnered impressive interest, with 78% of its office units leased prior to the official launch. This rapid uptake underscores the demand for premium office environments in Dubai's strategic business regions.
Situated within the Commercial District of Dubai Maritime City, MBC-2 features 125 upscale office units ranging in size from 40 to 980 square metres. The tower combines stunning waterfront views with versatile designs tailored to meet various business needs.
It offers two distinct options for tenants: fully furnished plug-and-play offices ready for immediate occupation and customizable shell-and-core spaces designed for tenant-specific configurations.
Additional amenities include a wellness floor equipped with a gym, leisure areas, retail establishments, and dining options. The facility boasts 480 parking slots, including designated spots for electric vehicles and those for People of Determination. It is also fitted with advanced energy-efficient systems.
As part of the development's strategy, the Dubai Maritime City headquarters and Jafza’s licensing department have relocated to MBC-2, establishing it as a central hub for maritime business functions and client interactions.
Ahmed Al Hammadi, COO of Dubai Maritime City, noted that the strong interest in MBC-2 reflects investor confidence in the region as a prime location for maritime and commercial enterprises. He emphasized that the project facilitates proximity to ports, logistics services, and trade routes.
Senior representatives from DP World and related agencies were present at the inauguration, underscoring the significance of this development for Dubai's evolving maritime and logistics sectors.
With this launch, Dubai Maritime City reinforces its role as a pivotal hub for maritime, logistics, and trade-related activities, aligning with DP World’s long-term vision of creating integrated economic zones worldwide.
