The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) in Dubai has marked a significant educational achievement in the first quarter of 2026 via its community centres operating under the Islamic Knowledge Programs Administration.
The prominent centres contributing to this accomplishment include Al Mizhar Cultural Islamic Centre, Umm Al Sheif Cultural Islamic Centre, and Nad Al Sheba Women’s Centre.
Throughout the initial three months of 2026, these centres recorded over 4,900 training hours and facilitated more than 2,830 academic lessons. Additionally, a total of 104 Quranic circles were held, underscoring a commitment to enhancing Islamic education, particularly for women and girls.
The department also hosted regular morning and evening Quran sessions, culminating in 12 complete Quran recitations (Khatmas). This reflects the consistent and structured nature of the educational programs tailored for diverse age groups.
To boost the quality of learning, the administration launched 14 innovative teaching methods. These contemporary techniques greatly improved the learning experience and overall outcomes for participants.
There was strong community involvement, with over 500 new registration requests received. In addition to educational initiatives, 24 community activities were executed, generating a total of 137 community service hours. Such efforts are aimed at reinforcing social ties and endorsing values like unity and cooperation.
Sheikha Sultan Al Mulla, Director of the Islamic Knowledge Programs Administration, stated that these accomplishments reflect the department’s success in crafting programs that cater to the genuine needs of women and girls. She highlighted that ongoing dialogue with participants has been crucial in fostering trust and enhancing program quality.
Furthermore, she noted that these programs align with the department’s “Closer to the Community” strategy. This strategy merges in-person and digital learning to ensure a lasting educational impact while enhancing quality of life and familial stability within the community.
