Following the guidance of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Dubai Humanitarian has effectively coordinated a significant shipment of medical aid to Gaza.
Utilizing its Global Humanitarian Impact Fund (GHIF), the agency managed the delivery of 22.3 metric tonnes of vital medical resources. The shipment, conveyed through a convoy of three trucks, consists of life-saving supplies sourced from the World Health Organization. These resources aim to meet critical health demands for approximately 110,000 individuals affected by the ongoing crisis.
Giuseppe Saba, CEO and Board Member of Dubai Humanitarian, reaffirmed the organization's resolve despite existing global challenges. He noted that ongoing supply chain disruptions have not deterred their commitment, as they continue to collaborate with partners to ensure the timely provision of essential support to impacted communities.
He also stated that Dubai Humanitarian is fully functional, actively mobilizing resources and utilizing its Global Humanitarian Impact Fund to deliver aid effectively, even in challenging environments.
Since the start of the year, international humanitarian agencies that partner with Dubai Humanitarian have assisted over 40 nations. This is facilitated through strong collaboration with governmental bodies, humanitarian organizations, and commercial allies, employing advanced multimodal logistics capabilities to maintain global humanitarian supply lines.
Dubai is steadfast in its role as a leading global center for humanitarian relief, ensuring essential aid reaches those in need promptly and efficiently.
