Dubai Holding Expands with Acquisition of Jumeirah Mallorca Hotel

Post by : Badri Ariffin

Dubai Holding, a prominent global investment firm operating in over 30 countries, has officially announced its acquisition of the luxurious Jumeirah Mallorca hotel located in Spain.

The esteemed property will maintain its management under Jumeirah, the flagship brand of Dubai Holding known for its excellence in luxury hospitality. Jumeirah has been successfully overseeing the hotel's operations for several years.

Nestled on Mallorca's northwest coast, Jumeirah Mallorca boasts 121 high-end rooms that offer breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea and the UNESCO-recognized Serra de Tramuntana mountain range. The resort prides itself on its commitment to sustainability, having earned the coveted LEED Platinum certification for its outstanding environmental practices.

Dubai Holding intends to invest further into the hotel's facilities to position Jumeirah Mallorca as a flagship destination within the Mediterranean region for the brand.

This acquisition fits seamlessly with Dubai Holding's long-term strategy of investing in premium assets in key international markets, fostering a diversified and resilient global portfolio.

Amit Kaushal, Group CEO of Dubai Holding, remarked on the acquisition, noting it bolsters the company's global hospitality portfolio and underscores its commitment to sustained value creation through careful growth. He highlighted that Jumeirah Mallorca embodies the quality and guest experience synonymous with both Dubai Holding Hospitality and Jumeirah.

With this latest acquisition, the hospitality segment of Dubai Holding now encompasses 34 hotels and resorts worldwide, featuring five Jumeirah properties across Europe. The group also includes prestigious brands such as Bvlgari Hotel Dubai and a diverse food and beverage portfolio, with Jumeirah managing 29 luxury properties in major international locales.

This deal further enhances Jumeirah's influence in Europe's prominent leisure locations, with established hotels in London and Capri, alongside the upcoming Jumeirah Le Richemond Geneva in Switzerland, thus solidifying its status as a leading name in luxury hospitality globally.
