Dubai International Airport (DXB) warmly welcomed over 1,500 young athletes from 35 different countries as they arrived for the Asian Youth Para Games 2025. This significant event underscores DXB's dedication to providing accessible and inclusive services, ensuring each visitor has a seamless experience.
The airport confirmed its readiness for operations across all terminals, with specialized People of Determination (PoD) teams on standby, reception points and welcome desks established, and designated transport organized for all delegations. Frontline staff underwent training in pre-event awareness sessions to best assist PoD travelers, showcasing meticulous planning and teamwork.
This edition of the Games promises to be the largest yet, running from December 10 to 13 and featuring 11 sports at eight exceptional venues in Dubai. Having previously hosted the Games in 2017, the UAE continues to fortify its standing as a leading hub for Para sports.
Additionally, volunteers from Dubai Airports are on hand to support the athletes throughout the event, embodying the airport’s broader mission to foster inclusivity for People of Determination within the UAE. Every thoughtful detail—from quiet zones and hearing assistance to specialized support counters—was meticulously crafted to provide a friendly and stress-free welcome for the eager young competitors.
