Drydocks World has embarked on the construction of its new head office in Dubai, a strategic move aimed at revolutionizing its operations and bolstering the maritime industry of the city. The project is slated for completion in early 2027 and will bring together nearly 700 employees, enhancing teamwork, communication, and efficiency within the company.
Covering 44,779 square meters on a 13,390-square-meter site adjacent to the existing shipyard, the contemporary office will be conveniently located for access while remaining outside of high-traffic fabrication areas. Direct links from Jumeirah Beach Road will ensure easy access for guests and clients without sacrificing safety or operational integrity.
Constructed with an emphasis on sustainability, the headquarters aims for LEED Gold certification, incorporating energy-efficient systems, smart ventilation, advanced safety measures, and 50 electric vehicle charging points among around 500 parking spots. Designed with open-plan workspaces, multi-purpose halls, cafeterias, fitness centers, and prayer spaces, the layout encourages a balanced and collaborative work atmosphere.
This new facility will complement DP World’s upcoming global headquarters at Expo City Dubai. Together, these initiatives underscore a broader commitment to establishing forward-thinking and sustainable workplaces across the organization.
Drydocks World’s expansion is a testament to its 40-year history of contributing to Dubai’s maritime development, handling complex ship repair, conversion, and offshore projects. The new headquarters symbolizes both the continuation of this heritage and a progressive direction toward operational efficiency, innovative practices, and sustainable development in the UAE.
