Abu Dhabi welcomed the second edition of Cyber Q today, gathering experts in cybersecurity, quantum technology, and AI from over 100 nations at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). This three-day event, orchestrated by the UAE Cybersecurity Council, examines the swift changes in technology reshaping global digital security.
With the theme ‘Where Quantum, AI and Cybersecurity Converge’, participants will delve into how new technologies are revolutionizing data protection, network security, and critical national infrastructures. Delegations from around the globe analyzed the growing impact of quantum computing and the evolving complexity of AI-driven cyber threats—two pivotal elements now integral to global security strategies.
Discussions scheduled throughout the day scrutinized advancements in quantum encryption, identified flaws in legacy systems, and emphasized the urgent transition to post-quantum security frameworks. Exhibitors demonstrated cutting-edge technologies ranging from quantum-resilient communication solutions to automated platforms designed to detect and address vulnerable or outdated security layers.
In conjunction with technical sessions, multiple agreements were brokered between governmental and private sector organizations aimed at enhancing cyber readiness and fostering collaboration in digital defense. These alliances are intended to bolster shared response protocols, facilitate better information sharing, and promote research on future-centric security standards.
Interactive workshops and simulations presented at the venue illustrated real-world situations involving quantum threats and AI-triggered attacks, providing participants a chance to refine their response strategies. Experts underscored the urgent necessity for adaptable infrastructures capable of withstanding rapidly evolving technological attacks that outpace traditional security frameworks.
As Cyber Q unfolds, the emphasis remains on preparing digital solutions for a future where quantum capabilities and artificial intelligence will dominate both innovation and risks. This event solidifies the UAE's role as a pivotal hub for establishing a global security framework.
