In anticipation of the Eid Al Etihad celebrations, motorists in Dubai will benefit from three days of complimentary parking. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has confirmed that all paid parking zones—excluding multi-level terminals and the Al Khail Gate N365 zone—will not require fees on Monday, December 1, and Tuesday, December 2. Since parking is free on Sundays, residents can enjoy an extended weekend without parking fees. Normal parking operations will resume on Wednesday, December 3.
During the two-day holiday, RTA’s customer happiness and vehicle testing centres will be closed. However, Smart Customer Happiness Centres located in Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, Al Twar, and RTA Headquarters will remain open 24/7, ensuring continuous digital service availability.
For the holiday period, public transport will operate on modified schedules. The Dubai Metro’s Red and Green Lines will run from 5:00 am to 1:00 am on November 29, December 1, and 2, with a later start from 8:00 am to 1:00 am on November 30. The Dubai Tram will have similar adjustments, starting at 6:00 am on November 29 and December 1-2, and at 9:00 am on November 30.
Passengers can use the S’hail app to monitor real-time changes in bus services, while marine transport users can also view updated schedules through the official platform.
With longer public transport hours and free parking in most areas, Dubai aims to ensure a convenient holiday experience for both residents and visitors navigating the city during the festive period.
