Under the esteemed guidance of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) acknowledged 34 remarkable winners at the fourth installment of the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award.
Held at the opulent Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, the event was graced by senior officials, ministers, and key personalities. This award seeks to honor significant contributions to agriculture and bolster the UAE’s food security framework.
Robust Participation Indicates Industry Growth
Dr. Tariq Ahmed Al Ameri noted that this year's edition received an impressive 476 submissions for the main category and a staggering 3,395 in related competitions. He emphasized that winners were chosen based on rigorous standards, including quality of production, sustainability, and resource efficiency.
He stated that the challenges in the global supply chain have heightened the significance of local agricultural output, making these initiatives crucial for enduring sustainability.
Visionary Leadership Fuels Agricultural Progress
Officials commended Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s vision for enhancing vital sectors like agriculture. Sheikh Mansour's unwavering support has significantly spurred innovation and empowered farmers nationwide.
Mouza Suhail Al Muhairi highlighted the increasing involvement of Emirati women and youth, showcasing their pivotal role in adopting advanced technologies and spearheading sustainable farming methods.
