Amid escalating tensions due to Iranian strikes, Bahrain has seen a significant increase in aerial threats, successfully intercepting 188 ballistic missiles and 445 drones aimed at its territories. The Bahrain Defence Force executed these interceptions, revealing the seriousness of the ongoing conflicts in the region.
In a formal announcement disseminated by the Bahrain News Agency, military officials confirmed that all incoming threats were neutralized before they could inflict substantial damage. This swift action by Bahrain's air defense systems prevented potential injuries and safeguarded civilian infrastructure from extensive harm.
The Bahrain Defence Force's General Command strongly condemned the targeting of civilians and private property with ballistic missiles and drones, characterizing these actions as evident breaches of international humanitarian law and the core principles outlined in the United Nations Charter.
Authorities issued a warning that these indiscriminate offensives represent a critical danger to regional peace and security. This alarming development has raised concerns throughout the Gulf, intensifying fears about escalation and its possible repercussions for global security and energy supply chains.
