The Indian music industry is mourning the loss of one of its most legendary voices, as Asha Bhosle passed away at the age of 92 due to multi-organ failure. Her demise marks the end of a remarkable era in Indian cinema, leaving behind a legacy that shaped generations of music lovers.

According to her son Anand Bhosle, the veteran singer breathed her last earlier in the day. The family has announced that her final rites will be conducted tomorrow, with preparations already underway. Fans and admirers across the country are paying their last respects to the iconic singer.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep sorrow over her passing, calling her one of India’s most versatile and iconic voices. He highlighted how her extraordinary musical journey enriched India’s cultural heritage and touched millions of hearts worldwide.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan shared an emotional tribute, remembering her warmth and affection. He said that Asha Tai always showered him with love and blessings, adding that her voice will continue to echo across generations and remain immortal.

Several political leaders, including Mamata Banerjee, Piyush Goyal, and Devendra Fadnavis, also expressed their grief. They described her passing as an irreplaceable loss to the nation and praised her unmatched contribution to Indian music and culture.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari recalled his personal bond with the singer, noting her dedication and passion for music even in her later years. He shared how she continued to stay committed to her art despite age, inspiring millions.

The film industry, too, is in shock, with actor Rajat Bedi calling it a huge loss for the entertainment world. Asha Bhosle’s timeless songs, versatility, and soulful voice will forever remain etched in history, continuing to inspire artists and audiences for generations to come.
