After a 22-year hiatus, Arsenal celebrated their long-awaited Premier League victory by defeating Crystal Palace 2-1 on the season’s final day at Selhurst Park.
The Gunners topped the league with 85 points, achieving their first title since 2004. Crystal Palace rounded off their campaign in 15th place with 45 points.
The day was not only significant for Arsenal; it also marked Pep Guardiola’s farewell as Manchester City manager, who concluded his tenure with a 2-1 defeat against Aston Villa at the Etihad Stadium, leaving City in second with 78 points.
Aston Villa continued their successful run, securing fourth place with 65 points and a spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League following their Europa League win.
Liverpool played out a 1-1 draw against Brentford, with Mohamed Salah making his last appearance for the club. Liverpool finished fifth on 60 points, while Brentford finished ninth with 53 points.
The relegation saga reached a thrilling climax, with Burnley and Wolverhampton Wanderers relegating after a 1-1 draw, finishing 19th and 20th. West Ham United, despite winning 3-0 over Leeds United, faced relegation as well.
Tottenham Hotspur secured their Premier League status with a vital 1-0 victory against Everton on the final matchday.
In other fixtures, Manchester United triumphed 3-0 over Brighton, Fulham defeated Newcastle United 2-0, Sunderland edged out Chelsea 2-1, and Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth settled for a 1-1 draw.
