Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan held a meeting with Olivier Decottignies to discuss key aspects of bilateral cooperation and upcoming diplomatic engagements. The meeting took place in Yerevan and focused on strengthening ties between the two countries.

During the discussion, special emphasis was placed on the upcoming visit of Emmanuel Macron to Armenia. Officials highlighted the importance of the European Political Community summit scheduled for May 4, followed by Macron’s state visit on May 5.

Both sides reviewed several priority areas in the bilateral agenda, including drinking water supply and wastewater management systems. These projects are seen as crucial for improving infrastructure and public services in Armenia.

The talks also covered France’s involvement in the construction of the Sisian-Kajaran section of the North-South road corridor. This project is expected to play a vital role in boosting regional connectivity and economic development.

Education cooperation was another important topic, with both sides exploring ways to strengthen academic partnerships and exchange programs. Additional strategic initiatives and development projects were also discussed.

Officials from both countries emphasized the importance of maintaining constructive dialogue and cooperation. They agreed on the need for effective coordination to resolve pending issues and ensure smooth implementation of joint projects.

The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of Armenia and France to deepen their partnership and expand collaboration across multiple sectors, reinforcing long-term diplomatic and economic ties.
