Apollo Global Management has provided $585 million financing to The Executive Centre (TEC), giving the Hong Kong-headquartered office space provider additional financial support to refinance existing debt and advance its expansion plans. The financing was announced by the US-based asset manager on Tuesday. The deal comes as flexible office providers continue to operate in a changing commercial property environment, with businesses looking for workspace solutions that can adapt to different operating requirements. For TEC, the new funding is expected to serve two key purposes: refinancing existing borrowing and providing financial support for the company's planned expansion. The transaction gives the company access to fresh capital while allowing it to address its existing debt obligations.
According to details released about the transaction, the proceeds from the financing will be used to refinance TEC's existing debt and support its expansion plans. The funding therefore combines balance-sheet management with capital for future business growth. TEC is a major operator in the flexible office space sector. The company provides workspaces designed for businesses seeking alternatives to conventional office arrangements. Its operations cover markets across the Asia-Pacific region and the Middle East. The new financing comes after reports that TEC had been looking for a substantial loan. Bloomberg reported last month that the company was seeking financing of around $500 million to refinance debt and fund capital expenditures. The eventual $585 million financing is higher than the amount previously reported as being sought, providing TEC with a larger pool of capital for its stated financial and expansion requirements.
Headquartered in Hong Kong, TEC has developed a significant international presence. The company operates more than 260 centres across 38 cities, with its network concentrated in the Asia-Pacific region and the Middle East. Its business is focused on providing office space provider services to companies and professionals in major commercial markets. The company's network gives it a presence across multiple cities rather than relying on a single property market. The financing from Apollo could provide additional financial flexibility as TEC continues to pursue its business strategy across these regions.
Apollo Global Management is a US-based asset manager with investments across a range of sectors and financial markets. Its financing of TEC represents a significant transaction for the workspace provider, which is using the proceeds for both debt refinancing and expansion. The $585 million deal also highlights the role of institutional financing in supporting companies operating in the commercial real estate and workspace solutions sectors. Rather than using the funds for a single purpose, TEC plans to allocate the proceeds toward existing debt refinancing as well as its broader expansion programme.

Debt refinancing can help a company reorganise its existing financial obligations, while additional capital can provide resources for planned investment. For TEC, the financing combines both objectives. The company operates in a sector that has evolved as businesses have adopted different approaches to office use and workplace requirements. Flexible workspace operators can provide companies with alternatives to traditional long-term office arrangements. TEC's presence in 38 cities means its operations span multiple markets, making access to capital an important part of supporting its international business strategy.
