Al Dhafra Job Fair Bridges Emiratis to Over 250 Job Opportunities

Al Dhafra Job Fair Bridges Emiratis to Over 250 Job Opportunities

Post by : Badri Ariffin

With strong backing from the leadership and the active engagement of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a significant Open Recruitment Day took place in the Al Dhafra Region, aimed at connecting Emirati job hunters with potential employment.

Organised by the Ruler’s Representative Court in the Al Dhafra Region and in collaboration with Mawaheb Talent Hub as part of the “Connecting You With Opportunities” initiative, the event sought to facilitate local hiring.

This recruitment initiative gathered over 25 prominent employers spanning government, semi-government, and private sectors. The event drew more than 600 job seekers to Majlis Madinat Zayed, offering upwards of 250 specialised positions.

Participating entities included the Ministry of Education, Abu Dhabi Police, Department of Municipalities and Transport, Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, AD Ports Group, and ADNOC, among others.

Officials remarked that this initiative underscores the leadership’s dedication to directly providing job opportunities to citizens within their local communities, effectively bridging geographical hurdles.

His Excellency Nasser Mohammed Al Mansouri, Undersecretary of the Ruler’s Representative Court in Al Dhafra Region, stated that this event fosters accessible employment pathways that enhance national competitiveness. He noted that the contributions of Emirati talent are pivotal in driving advancement across all sectors.

His Excellency Ibrahim Nassir, Undersecretary of the Department of Government Enablement (DGE), added that the initiative is key to building an AI-native government by linking Emirati talent with diverse opportunities throughout the emirate. He highlighted that facilitating job access in regions like Al Dhafra aligns with Abu Dhabi’s long-term digital transformation goals.

The focus is on decentralised hiring, ensuring that Emirati job seekers from Abu Dhabi City, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra can find opportunities without needing to move.

Since its inception in 2023, Mawaheb Talent Hub has trained over 10,000 Emiratis and secured over 6,000 job placements in various sectors for 2025 through more than 90 partners.

Officials stated that the Open Recruitment Day serves as a testament to ongoing commitment towards enhancing local employment and preparing national talent for the evolving job market.
