On Monday evening in Mumbai, Akshay Kumar’s security vehicle was caught up in a road incident while the actor and his wife, Twinkle Khanna, were heading home from the airport to their Juhu residence.
According to preliminary reports, the mishap began when another vehicle rear-ended an auto-rickshaw. The force of the collision caused the auto-rickshaw to overturn and slam into Akshay Kumar’s escort car, resulting in the security vehicle landing on its side.
Emergency services responded promptly at the scene, managing to stabilize the situation. Footage circulated on social media depicted the escort vehicle toppled over, with the auto-rickshaw suffering extensive damage from the impact.
Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported from the incident, and both Akshay and Twinkle emerged unscathed.
The couple had recently returned from abroad, where they commemorated a meaningful personal occasion. Akshay and Twinkle recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary, with Twinkle sharing an Instagram video of them enjoying paragliding together.
Married on January 17, 2001, in Mumbai, the couple has two children: Aarav, who is 23, and Nitara, aged 13.
