The National Scientific Research and Innovation Exhibition 2026, organized by Qatar’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education alongside the Qatar Research, Development and Innovation (QRDI) Council, has successfully wrapped up.
This year’s 18th iteration of the exhibition took place at the Qatar National Convention Centre, themed “Promising Researchers for Qatar.” It drew together a diverse group of students, educators, and research professionals, emphasizing Qatar’s commitment to enhancing scientific research and innovation.
As per the organizers, 2,971 students participated this year, showcasing 1,467 innovative research projects from 249 different schools. Additionally, 672 educators contributed with 616 action research projects aimed at enriching teaching methodologies.
During the closing ceremony, officials from Qatar’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education along with the Qatar Research, Development and Innovation Council recognized exemplary students, teachers, and collaborating partners for their remarkable achievements in various research competitions from primary to secondary education levels.
The exhibition also acknowledged 10 outstanding student research projects developed in partnership with the Young Scientists Center, underscoring the significance of collaboration between educational institutions and young innovators.
Officials commended the high participation rate and exceptional quality of the projects exhibited. They stated that this event is a testament to the increasing scientific literacy, creativity, and innovative capabilities among Qatar's youth, aligning with the nation's long-term educational and developmental objectives.
