The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has conveyed its deepest condolences and strong solidarity to the Republic of Kenya following the devastating landslides that struck the country’s western highlands after days of relentless rainfall. The severe weather has resulted in tragic loss of life and widespread damage to homes and infrastructure.
In an official statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed heartfelt sympathy to the families of the victims and extended sincere condolences to the Kenyan government and people. The Ministry emphasized the UAE’s compassion and unwavering support during this difficult time.
Reaffirming the nation’s commitment to humanitarian values, the Ministry underscored that the UAE stands beside Kenya in confronting the aftermath of this natural disaster. It also highlighted the deep-rooted ties of friendship, cooperation, and shared humanity that bind the two countries.
According to Kenyan authorities, continuous torrential rains triggered multiple landslides in mountainous regions, burying homes and displacing families. Rescue and emergency teams remain on the ground, working tirelessly to save lives and deliver relief supplies despite challenging weather conditions.
The UAE’s message of support reflects its enduring humanitarian vision and proactive global role in aiding nations affected by crises and natural disasters.
