UAE Leaders Extend Condolences Following the Death of Abdullah Al Attiyah

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, has expressed his deepest condolences to Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, following the loss of Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah—an esteemed statesman and former Deputy Prime Minister as well as Minister of Energy and Industry in Qatar.

In his heartfelt message, Sheikh Mohamed offered his sympathies to the Emir, the Al Attiyah family, and the people of Qatar, praying for peace for the departed and solace for his loved ones during this challenging time.

Abdullah Al Attiyah has been instrumental in shaping Qatar’s energy landscape and played a vital role in the country’s economic advancement over his stellar public service trajectory. He is highly regarded for his leadership in the energy sector and fortifying Qatar’s stature as a key global energy supplier.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE’s Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, also conveyed condolences to Sheikh Tamim, expressing his sorrow over this significant loss.

Likewise, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister, offered his sympathies to the Emir and support to the bereaved family.

These messages underline the close bonds shared between the UAE and Qatar, honoring leaders who made substantial contributions to the advancement of the Gulf region.

The passing of Abdullah Al Attiyah signifies the loss of a revered figure whose impact resonated throughout the energy sector and regional matters, leaving a legacy of dedicated service and notable achievements that will be cherished for years to come.
