The UAE national cycling team concluded a stellar performance at the Arab Cycling Championship held in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq, securing a total of 17 medals, including 11 gold, 2 silver, and 4 bronze.
On the final day of the championship, Abdullah Jassim clinched the gold medal in the elite men’s road race, marking a remarkable double victory after previously winning the individual time trial. His teammate, Ahmed Al Mansoori, added to the tally with a bronze medal in the same race.
In the junior category, Maadhed Al Mashghouni won the gold medal in the junior men’s road race, while the UAE junior team secured silver in the team classification, highlighting the depth of talent across all age groups.
At the team level, the UAE senior cycling squad maintained their dominance, topping the overall team standings ahead of competitors from Iraq and Jordan. Their exceptional performance reflects the UAE’s growing strength in the Arab cycling scene and reinforces their position as a powerhouse in regional competitions.
