1,000 Stranded Indians Leave Doha in 3 Days

1,000 Stranded Indians Leave Doha in 3 Days

Post by : Shakul

More than 1,000 Indian nationals stranded in Doha have been able to return home over the past three days on flights operated by Qatar Airways, according to the Embassy of India in Qatar. Many of the passengers were stuck in the Qatari capital while on transit or short-term visits due to travel disruptions in the region.

The Indian Embassy said that a special Doha–New Delhi flight operated by Qatar Airways recently carried more than 300 Indian passengers back to India. Officials confirmed that the airline has been coordinating with authorities to ensure that stranded travelers can safely return to their destinations.

Authorities also announced that Qatar Airways plans to operate additional flights from Doha to major Indian cities including New Delhi, Mumbai, and Kochi. Stranded Indian passengers have been advised to book seats on these flights and stay in contact with the airline regarding travel arrangements.

The embassy further stated that it is addressing requests from passengers seeking Saudi visas and is coordinating with relevant authorities to resolve such cases. Officials urged members of the Indian community in Qatar to follow safety guidelines issued by the Qatar Ministry of Interior.

The Indian mission also warned citizens against spreading or believing rumours about travel restrictions. Instead, travelers have been advised to rely only on official announcements from the embassy and government authorities for accurate information.

Officials said the evacuation and travel assistance efforts are continuing to ensure that stranded passengers receive support and safe passage back to India as quickly as possible.
