Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a meeting with a delegation from the Department of Government Enablement – Abu Dhabi (DGE), led by its Chairman, Ahmed Tamim Hisham Al Kuttab, to assess the current advancements in talent development and Emiratisation efforts in the Al Ain Region.
The gathering included a review of the achievements and current status of DGE's Mawaheb Talent Hub in Al Ain, which is dedicated to empowering UAE Nationals by enhancing their skills while boosting their participation in the labour market through collaborations with both public and private entities.
The discussions also revisited the outcomes of the “Empowering National Talents in Al Ain” forum conducted in October 2025, aiming to perpetuate the creation of job opportunities for Emiratis based on individual qualifications and career aspirations while aligning with regional labour market needs.
Sheikh Hazza assessed significant employment and skill development initiatives tailored to equip Emirati youth for forthcoming job markets. He commended the efforts made by DGE and the Mawaheb Talent Hub in advancing citizen support and facilitating readiness for changing labour market demands.
He reiterated that Emiratisation remains a pivotal objective in line with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's vision, emphasizing the necessity of enhancing the role of national talent across both public and private sectors to create a knowledge-based, innovation-driven economy.
Sheikh Hazza also underscored the importance of refining skills related to advanced technology, AI, and digital solutions. He stated these sectors are crucial for bolstering the future readiness of Emirati talent and enhancing the UAE's competitive stance on a global scale.
To broaden community engagement, DGE officials noted that 14 open days were orchestrated throughout the Al Ain Region, including areas like Al Shiwayb and Al Qua’a. These events facilitated improved dialogue with Emirati job seekers and bolstered recruitment efforts across various sectors.
Furthermore, the delegation confirmed ongoing preparations for the next “Empowering National Talents in Al Ain” forum, slated for the last quarter of this year.
The previous forum in 2025 led to 17 memoranda of understanding between DGE, represented by Mawaheb Talent Hub, and numerous government, semi-government, and private sector organisations. These agreements emphasized the development of job prospects in areas like banking, finance, education, emerging technologies, and customer service.
Additionally, the agreements encompassed specialized training and qualification schemes aimed at fostering sustainable employment and enhancing collaboration between public and private sectors in the Al Ain Region.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, along with various officials from DGE and Mawaheb Talent Hub, attended the meeting.
