RAKEZ Enhances UAE-India Business Relations Through Roadshow

RAKEZ Enhances UAE-India Business Relations Through Roadshow

Post by : Badri Ariffin

The Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) has wrapped up its impactful India Roadshow, bridging Indian enterprises with opportunities in the UAE across key locations such as Pune, Chennai, Bangalore, and New Delhi. The event attracted over 200 businesses from diverse fields including manufacturing, engineering, chemicals, and building materials.

This week-long event showcased RAKEZ's vital role in the framework of the UAE-India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), emphasizing its robust industrial ecosystem made for Indian companies aiming for global outreach.

A notable accomplishment occurred in New Delhi with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between RAKEZ and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). This agreement commits to knowledge sharing, collaborative business events, delegation visits, and aiding Indian firms in accessing the UAE market.

The roadshow celebrated the culmination of the UAE-India Start-up Series, a pioneering initiative highlighting promising Indian start-ups. Among the featured winners was Bioreform, a Hyderabad firm dedicated to developing biodegradable and compostable packaging solutions, which will gain RAKEZ's support for international scaling.

Through engaging discussions and roundtables, RAKEZ illustrated its business-friendly environment, potential joint ventures, technology collaborations, and the extensive possibilities for Indian businesses to enhance their presence in Ras Al Khaimah. This effort further solidified the UAE-India trading relationship and positioned RAKEZ as a pivotal entry point for Indian firms aiming for regional and global advancement.
