The State of Qatar has vehemently condemned the Israeli forces' renewed assault on the Global Sumud Flotilla in international waters, deeming it a serious breach of international law, humanitarian principles, and maritime security protocols. This event underscores the ongoing unjust blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip.
In a statement released on Monday, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted that continued Israeli actions against the Palestinian population exacerbate the already dire humanitarian situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, particularly in Gaza. The ministry also denounced the harassment and targeting of activists who stand in solidarity with Palestinian rights.
Qatar emphasized the necessity for a unified and resolute response from the international community to pressure Israel to reopen border crossings and eliminate barriers preventing humanitarian assistance from reaching Gaza. Furthermore, the ministry called for immediate protection for innocent Palestinian civilians affected by the ongoing crisis.
Moreover, Qatar demanded the prompt and unconditional release of all activists detained following the seizure of the aid flotilla by Israeli forces. The nation reiterated its commitment to humanitarian initiatives aimed at assisting the Gaza populace and called for adherence to international humanitarian law.
