Beijing: In a significant advancement for its satellite communications, China has launched a new set of low-orbit internet satellites, bolstering its space-based connectivity.
The satellites took flight on Thursday from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, situated in Shanxi Province, northern China.
The launch occurred at 3:38 a.m. Beijing time with a modified Long March-6 rocket. Successfully reaching their assigned orbit, this group marks another achievement in China’s extensive space endeavors.
This represents the 21st launch of low-Earth orbit satellites, all part of China's larger mission to create a comprehensive satellite internet framework aimed at boosting global communication access.
Moreover, this operation was the 637th in the Long March series, showcasing the strength and dependability of China’s launch capacities.
