Iran Fires 167 Missiles 541 Drones at UAE Dubai on High Alert

Iran Fires 167 Missiles 541 Drones at UAE Dubai on High Alert

Post by : Shakul

Dubai and the wider United Arab Emirates faced an unprecedented aerial assault as Iran launched large-scale missile and drone strikes across Gulf states, hitting key infrastructure and prompting emergency responses. According to the UAE Ministry of Defence, air defence systems intercepted dozens of ballistic missiles and hundreds of drones fired toward the country amid escalating regional hostilities.

Authorities reported that a significant portion of the aerial barrage was destroyed by advanced defence systems, but debris and some fallen drones caused material damage in multiple areas. Fires broke out near the Palm Jumeirah island and at Burj Al Arab, where drone debris ignited flames that were later brought under control. Emergency teams also responded to a fire at Jebel Ali Port, and minor damage was reported at Dubai International Airport.

In response to the strikes, both Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport suspended flight operations as a precautionary measure, leaving many travellers stranded and forcing airlines to cancel or reroute services. Aviation disruptions also extended to other Gulf hubs as regional airspace closures were enforced amid safety concerns.

The ongoing attacks have resulted in multiple fatalities and dozens of injuries among residents and expatriates, with casualties confirmed among foreign nationals from various countries. UAE officials reiterated that public safety remains the top priority, and emergency response units are actively managing the situation as tensions across the region remain high.
