Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has issued a strong warning, promising tougher action against enemies as tensions grow in the ongoing conflict with the United States and Israel.
In a statement reported by Iranian media, Khamenei expressed condolences over the deaths of senior officials and stressed the need to strengthen national security. He said security must be ensured for the country while denied to its enemies, both inside and outside Iran.
The warning comes after a series of deadly strikes. Iran confirmed that Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib was killed in recent airstrikes, along with Revolutionary Guards spokesman Ali Mohammad Naini.
These attacks are part of the ongoing conflict, which has seen several high-profile figures targeted in recent weeks. The situation has raised concerns about further escalation in the region.
Mojtaba Khamenei has not appeared in public since taking leadership after the death of his father, Ali Khamenei. His limited public presence has led to speculation about his condition.
However, reports suggest that he may address the nation soon on the occasion of Nowruz, which could be his first public message since assuming leadership.
The situation remains tense, with global attention focused on how Iran may respond in the coming days.
