Prime Minister Narendra Modi, French President Emmanuel Macron and several global technology leaders attended the India AI Impact Summit 2026 held in New Delhi. The event brought together political leaders, policymakers and top executives to discuss the growing impact of artificial intelligence on society and the global economy.
The six-day summit is being organised under the theme “Sarvajan Hitaya, Sarvajan Sukhaya”, which means welfare and happiness for all. This is the fourth AI Impact Summit globally and the biggest one so far.
More than 20 heads of state and over 500 AI experts and industry leaders are participating. The summit includes discussions on how artificial intelligence can be used responsibly in areas such as healthcare, education, agriculture, governance and business.
Prime Minister Modi said India is committed to developing AI in a human-centric and inclusive manner. He highlighted the need for ethical use of technology and global cooperation to ensure AI benefits everyone.
Technology leaders also shared their views on India’s growing role in the global AI ecosystem. Several companies expressed interest in investing in AI research, innovation and digital infrastructure in the country.
The summit is expected to end with a joint declaration focusing on international cooperation, safety measures and responsible development of artificial intelligence.
