Dubai Police Introduces Fitness Zone 2025 for Inmate Wellness

Dubai Police Introduces Fitness Zone 2025 for Inmate Wellness

Post by : Rameen Ariff

Dubai Police have announced an innovative fitness programme, ‘Fitness Zone 2025’, designed to advance both the physical and mental wellness of inmates. This initiative coincides with the upcoming Dubai 30X30 fitness challenge and represents a pivotal move toward rehabilitation through enhanced health and fitness.

The pilot group consists of 47 inmates struggling with weight issues, who will embark on personalized fitness regimens tailored to boost their health and prepare them for a future as engaged and healthy community members. Officials from Dubai Police stressed the significance of fitness and wellbeing in cultivating positive behavior and mental fortitude among inmates.

Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Abdullah Al Obaidli noted that the goal of this initiative is to establish sport as a daily practice, uplift fitness levels, and promote positive energy, which subsequently supports mental health and everyday conduct. He reaffirmed the commitment of Dubai Police to offer a “holistic rehabilitative environment” that encompasses health, education, and behavioral growth.

Organized under the General Department of Punitive and Correctional Institutions, this programme involves collaboration with the Rehabilitation and Readiness Centre, the Dubai Police Health Centre, and the General Department of Training.

This initiative underscores Dubai Police’s commitment to comprehensive rehabilitation, blending physical fitness with health and behavioral development. By championing physical activity and mental wellbeing, the programme intends to reshape inmates’ futures, fostering a healthier and more optimistic outlook.
