Bahrain’s Minister of Health met with members of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Association of the Bahrain Medical Society in Manama to discuss ways to enhance specialised mental health services for children and adolescents.
The delegation was led by Dr. Ahmed Malallah Al Ansari. The meeting focused on supporting scientific initiatives, strengthening preventive care, and improving treatment programmes aimed at achieving better child health outcomes across the Kingdom.
The Health Minister highlighted the Ministry of Health’s continued efforts to advance healthcare and mental health services in line with international medical standards. She stressed that the wellbeing of children and adolescents remains a key national priority within Bahrain’s healthcare strategy.
She also praised the association for its active role in raising awareness about mental health issues among young people and its contribution to building a healthier and more informed society.
Dr. Al Ansari welcomed the ministry’s support and expressed the association’s readiness to collaborate on national programmes that promote the mental health and overall wellbeing of children and adolescents throughout Bahrain.
