Abu Dhabi: ADNOC has officially launched its Industrial Resilience Program at the fifth Make it in the Emirates forum. This innovative initiative comprises five strategic plans aimed at bolstering the UAE’s supply chain, enhancing local manufacturing capabilities, and ensuring the sustainability of the industrial sector.
Building on the success of ADNOC’s In-Country Value (ICV) program, the focus will be on increasing local procurement of high-priority products manufactured in the UAE. This initiative is essential for reducing dependency on global supply chains and safeguarding against international disruptions.
ADNOC has committed to prioritizing products made in the UAE for its strategic projects, which will generate substantial demand for local products and foster the growth of domestic manufacturers.
Omar Abdulla Alnuaimi, Acting Group Chief of Commercial and ICV at ADNOC, emphasized that the program aligns with the leadership's vision to bolster industrial resilience and expand local production capabilities. He noted that this initiative will offer sustainable demand visibility and contribute to nurturing a self-reliant industrial ecosystem.
The Industrial Resilience Program consists of the following five core initiatives:
This program endorses the national “Make it in the Emirates” initiative aimed at localizing pivotal industries and reinforcing the industrial base of the country.
ADNOC is also on track to achieve its goal of manufacturing AED 90 billion worth of products domestically by 2030. This target includes more than 150 key items such as drilling equipment, process chemicals, valves, and oil country tubular goods.
To date, ADNOC has secured agreements exceeding AED 80 billion for locally produced goods, while its partners have invested AED 4.5 billion in new manufacturing and advanced facilities across the UAE.
Through its ICV program, ADNOC anticipates contributing AED 220 billion to the UAE economy over the next five years, further facilitating national economic growth and industrial progress.
