The Annual Performance Report from Abu Dhabi Customs for 2025 reveals substantial advancements in trade and service quality within the emirate.
The data indicates an impressive 93% overall organizational performance and a flawless 100% in strategic performance. These achievements were gauged using 31 fundamental indicators, which underscore the effective planning and execution aligned with Abu Dhabi's economic objectives.
Moreover, the authority fulfilled all strategic economic indicators linked to the Abu Dhabi Plan, solidifying its contribution to the emirate’s sustainable economic vision.
A standout feature of the report is the substantial rise in non-oil trade, which surged to AED415.4 billion in 2025 — a remarkable 36% increase from 2024. Customs declarations also climbed by 17%, reflecting the dynamic trade environment and reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s stature as a prime global business and investment hub.
The report also highlights commendable results in customer satisfaction metrics and workplace conditions, with Abu Dhabi Customs achieving a 91% employee engagement index and a 94% service quality index. Similarly, satisfaction levels among traders and clearing agents reached 94%, underscoring the authority’s dedication to streamlining customs processes.
Driving these positive outcomes, Abu Dhabi Customs emphasized its commitment to innovation and advanced technology. Their ongoing efforts to create a smart customs ecosystem promote sustainability and strengthen trade sector resilience.
The organization committed to enhancing customs services further and fostering collaborations with both public and private sectors to boost Abu Dhabi’s competitiveness in customs and logistics.
