Vietnam President To Lam Begins China Visit

Vietnam President To Lam Begins China Visit

Post by : Shakul

To Lam has officially begun his state visit to China, marking an important step in strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations. The visit is being held from April 14 to April 17, 2026.

To Lam, accompanied by his wife and a high-level Vietnamese delegation, arrived in Beijing on the morning of April 14. The delegation landed at Beijing International Airport, where they received a warm and formal welcome from senior Chinese officials.

Among those present at the reception were key Chinese leaders and representatives, including officials from the Communist Party of China, as well as diplomats and members of the Vietnamese embassy. Members of the Vietnamese community and students in China also gathered to welcome the delegation.

The visit comes at a significant time for both countries, as Vietnam enters a new phase of development following its 14th National Congress, while China moves forward with its 15th Five-Year Plan. This alignment is expected to open new opportunities for cooperation.

During the visit, leaders from both sides are expected to discuss expanding collaboration in key areas such as trade, investment, tourism, education, and technology. Strengthening supply chains and production partnerships will also be a major focus.

Officials have described the visit as an important opportunity to elevate strategic ties and establish a new level of partnership between the two countries. It is expected to pave the way for deeper economic and political cooperation.

The meetings between top leaders, including Xi Jinping, are likely to set the direction for future bilateral relations and support long-term development goals for both nations.
