The UAE-based International Charity Organisation has broadened its commitment to humanitarian efforts in Syria by supplying 50 kidney dialysis machines to the Ministry of Health. This significant contribution represents a vital improvement to the nation’s renal-care capabilities at a time when hospitals are overwhelmed with patients suffering from kidney ailments.
During the handover, officials indicated that the new machines will be allocated to primary hospitals and dialysis centres that are experiencing extreme patient demand. Health professionals across various regions in Syria have been facing challenges with lengthy patient wait times and overburdened equipment, which frequently leads to delays in care. By introducing these additional machines, the goal is to streamline operations and enhance patient experiences.
This humanitarian initiative was made feasible through generous donations from supporters in the UAE, who continue to play a crucial role in addressing both urgent and ongoing medical needs in Syria. The charity emphasized that this project aims to deliver essential medical equipment to alleviate pressures on patients and healthcare personnel while ensuring continuity of service in the upcoming months.
Moreover, the organisation stated that assessments are ongoing to pinpoint other essential requirements in hospitals and medical facilities, with plans to strategically enhance Syria’s overall healthcare infrastructure in the future.
