Actor Sunny Deol recently expressed his frustration towards photographers lingering outside his Mumbai residence. Their attempts to capture images and videos during a challenging period for his family were unwelcome. His father, the renowned actor Dharmendra, is currently receiving treatment at home.
On Wednesday, a statement from Sunny’s team indicated that Dharmendra was discharged from the hospital to continue his recovery at home. They urged for respect regarding the family’s privacy and requested not to disturb them.
However, the following day, numerous photographers remained outside the Deol household. Upon noticing them, Sunny stepped out to reprimand them for their inappropriate behavior. He implored them to show some decency.
In a video circulating on social media, Sunny passionately remarked, “You should feel ashamed. Each of you has parents and children. Yet, you’re filming like this. Don’t you feel embarrassed?”
Sunny’s irritation stemmed from the continued presence of paparazzi, tracking his family from the hospital to their home, even recording mundane details like food deliveries.
Earlier in the week, false rumors emerged online about Dharmendra's demise; however, his family quickly dismissed these claims. His wife Hema Malini and daughter Esha Deol reassured everyone of Dharmendra's well-being and slow recovery.
Later, Sunny shared a message to express gratitude for the support and prayers: “My father Dharmendra has returned home from the hospital for his recovery. We kindly ask everyone to refrain from spreading rumors and to honor our privacy. Thank you for your kind thoughts.”
This incident has ignited a broader conversation regarding the need for privacy for celebrities during health crises, with many advocating for a more respectful approach from the paparazzi.
