Fans of Welsh rock band Stereophonics were left disappointed after the group announced the cancellation of their upcoming Dubai show, scheduled for October 29. The decision was made due to lead singer Kelly Jones’ medical condition, which has left him unfit to travel.
Event organisers, Coca-Cola Arena and Live Nation, confirmed the news on their social media platforms, stating that Jones had been advised against flying by his doctors.
In a heartfelt message to fans, Kelly Jones revealed that he is suffering from a displaced jaw joint. Sharing his regret, the frontman said, “I have cancelled no more than four shows in 30 years, and I hope you can trust this decision was not taken lightly.”
Organisers assured that full refunds for all ticket holders will be processed within 21 days.
While the Dubai and Australia concerts have been cancelled, the band is expected to resume its UK tour in December 2025, as Kelly Jones continues physiotherapy and rehabilitation to prioritise his health.
The announcement has saddened fans worldwide, but the group emphasised that Jones’ recovery is the top priority, and they look forward to returning to the stage stronger than ever.
