His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, participated in the third day of the Zayed Camel Race Grand Prize 2025. The event runs until December 1st and features thousands of camels from UAE and other GCC nations, marking it as a prominent heritage sports festival in the region.
During his visit, Sheikh Mansour observed various races, including the main Laqaya category races at the Al Wathba Camel Race Track in Abu Dhabi. These races spanned 5 kilometers on the southern track during the evening session, with a vibrant atmosphere formed by camel owners, officials, and spectators drawn to the thrilling events.
Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President and Chairman of the Camel Racing Federation, was also present, along with numerous senior officials and camel owners from across the UAE and the Gulf. Their attendance underscored camel racing's vital cultural significance in the region.
Amid the festivities, Sheikh Mansour recognized the event's sponsors and strategic partners at a ceremony attended by Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan and other dignitaries. This gesture displayed the UAE's gratitude towards those who contribute to its cultural and heritage projects. Following the recognition ceremony, Sheikh Mansour enjoyed a luncheon hosted by Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan at his majlis in Al Wathba, welcoming esteemed camel owners from various Gulf nations—signifying an enriching social and cultural gathering.
Throughout his visit, Sheikh Mansour engaged in meaningful discussions with attendees regarding the significance of camel racing and the pivotal role of the Zayed Camel Race Grand Prize 2025 in preserving UAE’s cultural heritage.
