In response to the escalating water crisis in Taiz, Yemen, Qatar Charity (QC) has launched a crucial emergency water supply initiative.
The program aims to assist approximately 13,500 individuals residing in three key districts—Al Mudaffar, Salh, and Al Qahira—all of which are grappling with acute water scarcity spurred by extended drought.
As part of this effort, 108 water distribution points have been established, with each district featuring 36 points. This initiative seeks to guarantee communities have consistent access to clean drinking water.
Taiz is currently enduring one of the harshest water crises in Yemen's history. Residents in elevated areas are particularly affected, often facing prolonged interruptions in their water supply.
Families throughout the city are increasingly challenged in securing safe drinking water, resulting in heightened financial strain and physical difficulties for already vulnerable populations.
With this project, Qatar Charity aspires to alleviate the hardships faced by residents and enhance access to vital water resources in the impacted districts.
