New Zealand national cricket team made a strong comeback in the second T20I, defeating South Africa national cricket team by 68 runs to level the series 1-1. Playing at Seddon Park in Hamilton, New Zealand posted a solid total of 175/6 in 20 overs after opting to bat first. Devon Conway anchored the innings with a composed 60, while the lower order added valuable runs in the final overs to push the total to a competitive level.
In reply, South Africa struggled to build momentum and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. The New Zealand bowling attack dominated the game, with Lockie Ferguson delivering a match-winning spell, picking up three key wickets. Ben Sears also played a crucial role with three wickets, as the visitors were bowled out for just 107 runs in 15.3 overs.
With this convincing win, New Zealand bounced back strongly after their defeat in the first match, bringing the series back on level terms. The result sets up an exciting contest going forward, with both teams now aiming to gain the upper hand in the remaining matches.
