The National Centre of Meteorology has forecast unstable weather conditions across the United Arab Emirates from Tuesday night through at least March 5, with increasing cloud cover and a chance of scattered rainfall in several regions of the country. Weather officials say this pattern is likely to continue before conditions gradually improve later in the week.
According to the forecast, cloud development is expected to begin on Tuesday night over the islands and western regions, bringing a possibility of light rain. A low‑pressure system will deepen on Wednesday, spreading clouds toward Abu Dhabi, inland areas, and then to the northern and eastern Emirates. Rainfall is anticipated in various parts of the UAE, mostly light to moderate, but some northern and eastern areas could see heavier showers at times.
Residents should also prepare for changes in wind patterns, with southeasterly winds shifting to northwesterly, and moderate to fresh breezes expected to occasionally cause blowing dust along with a noticeable drop in temperatures. Sea conditions are forecast to gradually become rough in the Arabian Gulf from Tuesday night through Thursday, and the Sea of Oman may see waves ranging from slight to moderate, becoming rough at times.
Experts say this unsettled weather is part of seasonal shifts and typical changes in atmospheric conditions that can bring increased humidity, cloud cover and brief periods of rain late in the winter and early spring. Residents and travelers should stay updated with official forecasts and be prepared for variable conditions throughout the week.
