In a historic first, Masters Historic Racing will join the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend, showcasing exceptional classic cars from the 3-litre era during the season's final event. Fans can witness these legendary vehicles compete on one of the globe's most renowned racetracks.
This event highlights vehicles from the 1966–1985 period, with the Masters Racing Legends grid paying homage to motorsport history. Featured will be ground-effect cars, DFV-powered models, and some of the most iconic Formula 1 designs, offering spectators a glimpse into the golden age of racing innovation. Well-known participants include former F1 winner Thierry Boutsen, Le Mans podium finisher Jann Mardenborough, French commentator Julien Febreau, ELMS champion Oliver James Webb, and WEC champion Stuart Hall.
Throughout the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend, drivers will engage in free practice and qualifying sessions before competing in two electrifying races illuminated by the Yas Marina lights. Fans can catch a glimpse of these historic cars in action during practice on Friday, December 5, followed by qualifying and races on December 6 and 7. The weekend's excitement culminates with the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix taking center stage. These historic races enrich the event, offering an unforgettable experience for motorsport fans.
