Although Miss India Manika Vishwakarma didn't secure a spot in the Top 12 at Miss Universe 2025, she captured the hearts of many with her poise, confidence, and striking presence, particularly in the swimsuit round where she dazzled in a pristine white outfit.
Following the grand finale in Nonthaburi, Thailand, where Fatima Bosch from Mexico claimed the Miss Universe 2025 title, Manika took to Instagram to express her deep gratitude. She shared and responded to numerous supportive messages from fans and fellow contestants.
When fellow contestant Miss India Nandini Gupta praised her performance, Manika replied, "Thank you. You are a source of pride. Rajasthani supremacy." Hailing from Rajasthan, Nandini highlighted her pride for Manika’s beautiful representation of India.
Manika reached the Top 30, attracting compliments for her stunning stage presence and outfits. Her gold sculptural national costume, inspired by Buddhism’s roots in India, was among the standout looks during the costume round. She also received accolades for her eye-catching golden gown during the event.
The conclusion of Miss Universe 2025 saw Fatima Bosch reigning as the new queen, with the Top 5 also featuring Thailand's Praveenar Singh, Venezuela’s Stephany Abasali, the Philippines’ Ahtisa Manalo, and Côte d’Ivoire’s Olivia Yacé.
This year's competition was not without controversy, as one of the organisers, Nawat Itsaragrisil from Thailand, allegedly referred to Miss Mexico Fatima Bosch as a “dumbhead,” prompting her and several contestants to walk out midway through an event. Moreover, judges Omar Harfouch and Claude Makélélé resigned over fairness concerns, allegations of preselection for the Top 30, and potential conflicts of interest, leading to questions about the integrity of the pageant.
