Jazeera Airways has fully restored its India network by reintroducing flights to Ahmedabad and Thiruvananthapuram, marking a major step in reconnecting Kuwait with key Indian destinations amid ongoing regional challenges.
With this expansion, the airline now operates across eight Indian cities, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Kochi. The move significantly strengthens air connectivity between Kuwait and India.
The restoration comes under the framework of Project Vande Bharat, which has played a crucial role in maintaining travel links for Indian citizens abroad during times of disruption. The airline’s expanded network is expected to benefit thousands of Indian expatriates living in Kuwait, many of whom rely on these routes for family visits, employment, and urgent travel needs.
According to airline officials, more than 1,300 passengers have already traveled between Kuwait and India since operations resumed on March 20. The addition of new routes is also expected to ease travel pressure during the busy Eid al-Fitr period, when demand for flights traditionally peaks.
Jazeera Airways CEO Barathan Pasupathi highlighted that restoring the full India network represents a key milestone for the airline. He emphasized that the initiative goes beyond commercial expansion, focusing on reconnecting families and supporting one of the largest expatriate communities in Kuwait.
The airline has coordinated closely with the Embassy of India to ensure smooth travel operations. Passengers benefit from organized check-in procedures in Kuwait, followed by transfers for onward departures, ensuring efficiency during high-demand periods.
Industry experts note that the move reflects a broader recovery trend in the aviation sector, as airlines gradually rebuild international routes disrupted by geopolitical tensions and fluctuating travel demand. Additional routes and increased flight frequencies are expected to be introduced in phases, further strengthening connectivity between the two nations.
Overall, the full restoration of Jazeera Airways’ India network signals improved travel accessibility and renewed momentum in regional aviation, offering relief and convenience to travelers during a critical period.
