Mark your calendars for an electrifying day at the Abu Dhabi Turf Club on Saturday, November 22, 2025. The event will feature the highly-anticipated Pride of the Nation race, known as the "Eid Al Etihad Cup," showcasing purebred Arabian horses. This significant Group 3 race spans 1600 meters and is part of the fifth evening of this season's racing calendar, boasting a total of seven vibrant races. Participants will compete for an impressive total prize pool of AED 900,000.
As the fourth race, the Eid Al Etihad Cup will present 14 elite Arabian horses aged four years and older. With a prize of AED 500,000, this race promises to be a highlight, drawing in numerous racing enthusiasts eager to witness exceptional performances as these top contenders vie for victory.
The day comprises seven races, providing diverse challenges and prize incentives for competitors. Kicking off the event is the Saqr of Abu Dhabi Classic, a purebred Arabian maiden race for four-year-olds and older, challenging participants over 2400 meters on turf and offering AED 66,000 in prize money.
Following that, the second race, the Path of the Federation Handicap, showcases purebred Arabian horses, also aged four and older, across 2400 meters on turf, with prize money of AED 66,000. This race tests the endurance and tactics of the competing jockeys and horses.
Next up is the thrilling Bani Yas Mile, a maiden race dedicated to three-year-old purebred Arabian horses. This competition will unfold over 1600 meters on turf, also boasting a prize of AED 66,000, giving young equines a chance to shine.
The main attraction, the Pride of the Nation Stakes or National Day Cup, will see 14 horses race over 1600 meters on turf. Open to four-year-olds and above, it offers a top prize of AED 500,000, promising an exhilarating spectacle for fans.
Following this is the Wathba Stallions Cup, a handicap race for purebred Arabian horses, aged four and older, racing 1400 meters on turf with a prize fund of AED 70,000. Contestants will demonstrate their speed and agility as they compete.
The sixth event, the Rising Star Maiden, features Thoroughbred horses aged three and older racing 1400 meters on turf for a prize of AED 66,000, offering a stage for budding talents in the equine world.
Concluding the day's events is the Al Barq Sprint, a 1200-meter handicap race for Thoroughbred horses that are three years and above, offering a prize of AED 66,000. This fast-paced race promises to conclude the day's action with excitement.
Renowned for drawing in horse racing fans from throughout the region, the Abu Dhabi Turf Club aims to celebrate equestrian excellence. The Eid Al Etihad Cup is set to feature fierce competition and a vibrant celebration of the UAE’s equestrian heritage.
