Emirates Unveils Free Starlink Wi-Fi Across Entire Fleet by 2027

Emirates Unveils Free Starlink Wi-Fi Across Entire Fleet by 2027

Post by : Badri Ariffin

Emirates is poised to elevate the inflight experience by launching Starlink Wi-Fi across its complete in-service fleet, commencing with its Boeing 777 aircraft in November 2025. The airline aims to achieve full installations by mid-2027, providing passengers with ultra-fast, ground-quality internet during flights.

This new feature enables travelers to stream movies, engage in online gaming, make voice calls, and work effortlessly on both personal devices and seatback screens. Emirates plans to equip around 14 aircraft each month, ensuring a swift and efficient rollout across its fleet of 232 planes. Installation for the Airbus A380 will start in February 2026.

Each Boeing 777 will include two Starlink antennae, while the Airbus A380 will boast a pioneering three antenna system, enabling extensive coverage and superior connectivity across all cabin classes. Live TV via Starlink is set to be available initially on personal devices, with seatback screens to follow by late December 2025.

The internet service will be entirely free for passengers, with simple one-click access that requires no payment or special membership. Emirates has already retrofitted its inaugural Boeing 777-300ER, A6-EPF, which showcased high-speed internet connectivity at the Dubai Airshow.

This initiative aligns with Emirates’ ongoing cabin improvement program, which includes the introduction of new Premium Economy cabins, enhanced Business and First Class services, and updated entertainment systems, ensuring passengers receive a consistently premium experience on all flights and aircraft types.

This development positions Emirates as a leader in inflight connectivity, granting travelers reliable internet access while boosting productivity, entertainment, and communication during their flights.
